Local markets have always held a special interest for me, not that I like to shop as much as I like the diversity and local color that permeates the transformed parking lot. I first became influenced to pain these gatherings after becoming a fan of Sarah Clementson and her watercolor daily scenes from Seattle's Public Market. My hope is that this fun painting will keep alive the summer memories of Saturday at the fair through the long winter on the Palouse.
